The reception lounge design for Museum Tower Kyobashi, an office building that houses an art museum, transforms the space from a transient lobby into one for staying and gathering. Under the concept of "Work with Art", the design aims to foster an environment that promotes creative working styles. The space is envisioned as a place that exists both physically and mentally between home and office. By rediscovering the architectural and spatial potential, an atmosphere was created that allows those working in the building to develop a deeper sense of attachment to the space. The design preserves the orderly beauty of the existing walls and ceiling louvers, enhancing them with warm, ambient lighting. This soft illumination wraps the space in a gentle glow, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere. The building’s façade louvers—meticulously designed based on precise calculations of natural sunlight—serve as an iconic architectural element. To allow visitors to experience the intellectual charm through tactile beauty, the façade louvers were reimagined with a different material and installed as partitions. Each carefully shaped ceramic piece brings a natural texture and a refreshing, breezy impression to the space. At the center of the lounge, a large granite planter was placed, creating a garden-like feature where nature’s vitality and human sensitivity intersect. The greenery within this miniature landscape encourages flexible creativity to flourish.

アートミュージアムを内包するオフィスビル、ミュージアムタワー京橋の受付ラウンジスペースのデザイン。「Work with Art」をコンセプトに創造的な働き方を促進する環境の提供を目指した。既存の通過するロビーから滞在するラウンジへと生まれ変わるために、物理的にも精神的にも自宅とオフィスの間に位置する場所として捉え、建築と空間が持っているポテンシャルを再発見をしていくことで、オフィスで働く人々が建物への愛着を持って過ごせるような場所となること目指した。元々空間に備わっていた整然とした仕上がりの壁面や天井のルーバー。その静的な美しさを持つ場所に暖かな光を灯していくことで、柔らかい光の広がりに包まれるような印象を生み出している。太陽光の緻密な計算を元に生まれたビルファサードルーバーのデザインは、建物のアイコン的な要素である。その知的な魅力を感覚的な美しさを伴って体験できるよう、素材を変えてパーティションとして設置した。一つ一つ成型して作られたセラミックのピースが、土の手触り感と風が流れたような爽やかな印象を空間にもたらす。空間の中央には御影石でつくられた大きなプランターを設置した。箱庭のようなその場所が自然の生命力と人の感性が交差する場となり、緑が柔軟な創造力を育むことを願った。
