An office design for an in-house hive of creativity, this space functions as a laboratory to develop, nurture and present ideas. At the entrance, a theater-like presentation stage welcomes guests in a grand manner. From within the blackout interiors of the welcoming area, architectural elements of light emerge to float in the darkness, creating a spellbinding space that seems disconnected from the rest of the structure. Shallow steps lead into a light-filled office area beyond, where floor-to-ceiling windows stand out against the light-toned woods and black lines of the space. Areas are separated by meticulously textured glass partitions. Within these translucent overlapping configurations, people and objects become abstract presences in each space. This becomes an expression of the confidential nature of the lab’s experimentation and the open mindedness that is essential for open communication and creativity. Ahead of the windows, a spacious sofa lounge offers visitors relaxing views of verdant greenery outside. Its sunken floor physically lowers visitors to change their perspective and encourage new ways of seeing things. Every area of the office space is designed to stimulate ideas and streamline their experimentation and implementation.

様々な開発を行うための実験室の機能を備えた社内施設のオフィスデザイン。エントランスではまるでシアターの様なプレゼンテーションステージが、ゲストを壮大に迎え入れる。ブラックアウトされたラウンジエリアでは光の要素が浮かび上がり、他と切り離されたような特別な空間となっている。ステップを上がるとその先に光溢れるオフィス空間が広がり、明るい木と黒いラインで構成された空間の中に大きなガラスの存在が際立っている。端正なテクスチャーを持つガラスパーティションが各エリアをつくりながらも、そのレイヤーが重なり合うことによって、空間の中の人や物を抽象化し、軽やかに繋げている。ここで行われる実験的試みの機密性と、オープンコミュニケーションを生む開放性の両方を表現した。窓の外に広がる豊かな緑を感じられる様、窓際にはゆったりとしたソファラウンジを設けている。そこでは床のレベルが下がる事によって、体の動きや視線の変化を作り、新たな物の見え方を促す。どのエリアにいても発想を刺激し、またそれをすぐ実験 /実行できるオフィス空間となった。
